Committees
Members of the Rapid City Area Chamber of Commerce have the opportunity make a difference in the community by getting involved in one or more of the many active Chamber committees.
 
The Air Service Task Force works to enhance commercial air service at the Rapid City Regional Airport by fostering partnerships with airlines and other area communities to develop new markets and quality service with competitive fares.
 
This committee works to increase economic activity and mutual understanding between people and businesses in Rapid City and their rural neighbors. This group also focuses and addresses agricultural and natural resource issues at all government levels.
 
To promote the Rapid City Area Chamber of Commerce and to maintain its membership strength.

To recognize, promote, and support the cultural activities and sponsoring organizations in our area recognizing the importance of cultural affairs to a successful community.

The goal of this committee is to enhance opportunities for cultures to better access the economic opportunities of the Rapid City community.
To maintain good relations with our current members, new businesses, visiting dignitaries, area communities and to recruit new members. We act as one of the fund-raising arms for the Chamber acting as the “Go To” committee for Chamber needs.
This committee strives to provide a variety of “member driven services” designed to meet the needs of our diverse membership. Our goal is to offer Chamber members the opportunity to grow as individuals and businesses.
 
This committee works diligently to keep Ellsworth Air Force Base as a viable military installation for the Rapid City and Black Hills Area.
 
This group increases business awareness and involvement in political and legislative issues working as an advocate for businesses and the community at the local, state and national levels.
 
This committee work hard to promote Rapid City's Health and Human Services facilities and personnel, encouraging effectiveness, ensuring cooperative coordination of related efforts and recognizing the economic and social impact of these industries on our area.
Leadership Rapid City, (LRC), is a 12-week program that promotes a better understanding of our community, builds leadership skills, and develops a network of community leaders. Twenty-plus years ago the leaders of the Rapid City Area Chamber of Commerce took a bold step and established this far-reaching visionary program which provides existing and potential leaders with the knowledge necessary to effectively participate in community affairs.

Junior Leadership Rapid City
Junior Leadership Rapid City is a five week leadership program modeled after the adult LRC program and tailored to high school students. The aim of Junior LRC is to foster current and future leadership by offering young people opportunities to develop their leadership skills and broaden their knowledge of the Rapid City community.
 
Military Affairs Committee, also know as MAC, assures our military installations remain a viable part of the Rapid City community and that our military forces remain an effective deterrent to future conflict.
 
Officals Club
The purpose of this club is to support sports in our community and recognize sporting achievements by local residents.
To help Chamber members and businesses capitalize on technology and e-commerce. To make the Chamber a “business technology model” and to advocate public policy positions to ensure South Dakota is competitive as technology advances.
This committee works as an advocate for transportation improvements, (road, rail and pedestrian), in the Black Hills area.
 
The Rapid City Area Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Group, (YPG), is a networking organization of dedicated, talented young professionals in the Rapid City Area. The YPG began with an explosive launch in March 2007 with a simple agenda: “To enrich our community by uniting and developing our young professionals.” We invite you to help build upon the momentum by joining this dynamic group.
