The Chamber’s Public Affairs function ensures the interest and policies of the Rapid City Area Chamber of Commerce, as developed by the Board of Directors are advocated at all levels of local, state, and federal governments.  Public Affairs is responsible for promotion and implementation strategies associated with the Chamber’s Strategic Value Statement, Long Range Plan, Policy Statements, and interests through continuing contact with business leadership, interest groups/associations respective elected officials and government agency administrators.  The function is responsible for accomplishing the objectives of the Ellsworth Task Force and advocacies for the Governmental Affairs, Military Affairs and Transportation Committees.
